GUIDING ORGANISATIONS AUSTRALIA (GOA)
Guiding Organisations Australia (GOA) is the peak industry body representing the interests of Australian Tour Guides at national level. It is a not for profit incorporated association that owns and manages the national Tour Guide Accreditation Program.
GOA is committed to:
- assisting Tour Guide Associations to build long term relationships and form networks between Tour Guides, related employers, the tourism industry, government organisations and other stakeholder groups in Australia.
- raising awareness of the importance of the role of Tour Guides in Australia.
- providing a national forum to develop best practice and promote a high degree of professionalism for Tour Guides.
- maintaining relationships with state, territory and national tourism industry organisations.
GOA is a Member of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA). WFTGA is an Affiliate Member of UNWTO and is an NGO in Operational Relations with UNESCO.

Established in 1979 as the peak body for Tour Guides working in Western Australia.
An international professional group serving the interests of working Tour Managers In the South Pacific region.
A national organisation dedicated to the advancement of cultural and natural heritage interpretation.
