IATG's Vision is to provide a professional, quality Australian Tourist Guiding organisation for the mutual benefit of members, tourists and the tourism industry - enriching the total experience.
IATG's Mission is to be a dynamic Australian tourist guiding organisation offering members recognition and ongoing opportunities for quality education, employment, professional development and tourism industry forums - in order to improve the quality of national Tourist Guiding Services and increase customer satisfaction.
IATG is an incorporated association which raises and maintains the standards of guiding services in Australia, has a Code of Conduct to which all its members are required to adhere and facilitates the education and enhancement of its members' skills. Our association has been in existence since 1993, is a national organisation and has provided input to government training programs over many years. It also delivers educational and familiarisation opportunities for its members.
